RAD Shock Mounts

The RAD-1 Shock Mounts are designed to be used with short shotgun and small condenser pencil microphones (super-cardioid, cardioid and omni). This suspension provides exceptional isolation from movement, handling noise and other vibrations associated with booming. The mount has soft-coated universal mic clips to fit any mic 19-25mm in diameter.

Each mount includes a pair of standard firmness hoops (black) and a pair of softer hoops (light blue) -- so you can get the best isolation for your style of booming. The base of this mount comes with a 360-degree rotatable XLR holder and 3/8 thread to use on boom poles, stands or with quick-connect attachments. All of the components are produced using virtually indestructible thermoplastic elastomers from high-precision injection moulding in an ISO-9000 certified factory (no 3D printing here). The RAD Shock Mounts are made in England.

Small, lightweight and easy-to-use full coverage microphone windshield system. Magnetic pods allow you to go from interior to exterior in seconds.
Achieves up to 40dB of wind noise reduction when using the included fur windcover - equivalent to many larger sized windshields. Good acoustic transparency for using indoors when using the windshield by itself to handle boom swooshes or other airflow.

Slide-on Windshields

The Nimbus is a slide-on windscreen made in many sizes to fit shotgun, small condenser and broadcast camera-mounted microphones. It is designed to reduce up to 25dB of wind noise generated from light to moderate winds, whilst maintaining high frequency audio clarity. The specially designed rubber end caps are made in two diameters to fit snugly around 19-22mm and 24-25mm microphones, preventing wind from entering behind the capsule. The Nimbus windshields are also the first slip-on style windscreens to incorporate small "pepper pot" hole openings on the rear end caps to provide fuller acoustic transparency for the microphone. This unique feature diminishes polar pattern distortion and adds extra clarity when recording. Each Nimbus is made using a porous open cell foam internal core and is available in grey or black synthetic fur.

The Nimbus is available in grey/black with different lengths and mic widths. 5, 10, 12, 15, 18mm lengths and widths of 19-21mm/ 24-25mm.

Replacement Windcovers for Rycote/Rode/Cinela

The Radius replacement Windcovers are made from our high-quality longer-haired synthetic acoustic fur and come with a smooth internal lining and draw string. The furs are made with additional material at the bottom to cover the base of most windshield blimps. The longer pile fur provides up to 40dB wind noise attenuation and maintains audio clarity across frequencies. The windcovers come in a range of standard sizes to specifically fit a variety of brands' windshield kits as replacement windcovers.

Radius Mini Windcovers for portable recorders are made from high quality synthetic acoustic fur. They are individually made to specifically fit over the recorder microphones they are sized for -- both in the X/Y and A/B configurations. These windcovers have an internal layer of acoustic foam sewn inside so they maintain their shape and create a pocket of still air around the microphones. They also have a tacky elastic lining inside the bottom to allow the windcovers to safely and securely stay in place when using, whilst also allowing as much of the recorder screen or dials to be visible. Mini windcovers come in black fur colour.

Foams for Microphones

The Radius range of condenser and shotgun microphone foams are made from high-quality acoustic foam designed to prevent plosives, boom swings swooshes and other light wind noise, whilst not interfering with high frequency audio capture. These are not the typical cheap mic foams that turn to dust in your fingers and fade away fast. Radius foams are made in the United Kingdom using a semi-open cell material that is also resistant to UV and moisture. For shotgun microphones, the tapered foam is wider in the back to provide more side wind protection around the capsule. The foam narrows toward the front to provide additional protection around the interference tube whilst allowing for maximum transparency. These foams come in 3 internal diameter sizes and a variety of lengths to fit many broadcast, camera and recording microphones.
